The speedtest app by OOKLA is a useful app for making sure your Element box is getting the right speed. It can diagnose problems with your WiFi, router, or service provider.
The speedtest app is on the home screen of the box. It has the logo that looks like a speedometer.
The app has recently been updated. If you’ve had any issues with the app not working, this is likely due to the update.
Not to worry, there is a simple fix for the speedtest app. Simply go to the Google Play Store, the app on the home screen with the below logo.
Once in the Google Play Store, simply search for speedtest and click the speedtest by OOKLA option. (This will require you to login to the Google Play Store if you have not done so.)
Next to the uninstall button will be a button that says UPDATE.
Click that button let the update install.
Go back to the home screen and click the speedtest app. Test your speed, the app should be working fine. The new logo will look like the image below.
