Amazing Media Center KODI gets newest update!

The KODI Media Center pre-loaded on all Element Ti4 Android TV Boxes is again releasing a new update. The KODI Helix 14.2 Update is currently in Beta testing and should be available soon. Since the release of the KODI Helix Media Center (formerly XBMC) in December, the updates have been fast and furious. This is a great thing for Element Ti4 Android TV Box users as it means a better, more enjoyable viewing experience. We’ve said this before in previous articles about KODI updates, this is the benefit of a Media Center like KODI. Many developers are constantly working on updates with the end user in mind. When errors occur with different add-ons, these developers tirelessly work to make sure it is fixed.

Here are just a few of the fixes included in this beta update:
• Gap-less playback on MP3
• Playback of rtmp protocol
• Scanning of newly added episodes
• Fix multi-path source scanning
• Fix loading external subtitles
• Fixed packaging of PIL module on Android. This will fix some script errors when using the weather add-on.
• Fixed video playback after refresh rate change.

We know that these fixes can sound very technical, but rest assured knowing that all of these fixes are aimed at helping achieve the best viewing experience and the easiest integration of all apps and add-ons.

We have heard from some of our customers that some of the add-ons that worked fine with XBMC are not working since the change to KODI. We would recommend doing an Internet search with the name of the add-on and KODI, as that will usually show you how to install that add-on to work correctly with KODI. Also, we are always available by phone at 1-877-207-9957 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help point you in the right direction.

As always, we want to keep you up to date with all of the latest changes and updates within KODI and within the Element Ti4. To download the latest version of KODI to your box, visit and click the ARM link under the Android symbol. This can be done using the browser on the launch screen of the Element Ti4 Android TV Box (the yellow globe icon). If you have any other questions about your Element Ti4 Android TV Box email us at
